At a glance
Calvià is the sprawling southwest corner of Mallorca — a single municipality that gathers the yacht-filled marinas of Puerto Portals and Port Adriano, the buzzing resort strips of Magaluf and Palmanova, the golf greens and promenade of Santa Ponsa, and, up in the hills, the quiet stone old town of Calvià Vila around its hilltop church. The island capital, Palma, and its Gothic cathedral sit just 20 km east, while the mountains and villages of the Serra de Tramuntana are a short drive north — making Calvià an easy, well-connected base for a Spanish break rather than a single beach.
