Why visit Nassau & Paradise Island

There is plenty to do in Nassau, from the Atlantis water park and Cable Beach to swim-with-the-pigs day trips and the historic downtown and straw market. Nassau and its bridge-linked neighbour Paradise Island pack the Bahamas’ biggest attractions into a small area, the sprawling Atlantis water park and aquarium, the newer Baha Mar resort-and-casino district on Cable Beach, and a colonial downtown of pastel forts and markets. It is the easy, do-it-all base, though most resorts here are room-only or bed-and-breakfast rather than all-inclusive.
